"TWO DELIS THAT EPITOMISE HEALTHY EATING AND SCREAM NUTRIENTS FROM THE ROOFTOPS. YOU‘LL ONLY FIND TOP QUALITY, SEASONAL STUFF HERE,THAT FEEDS THE SOUL, AS WELL AS THE BODY.

WHERE: 10 Mortimer St, Fitzrovia, W1T 3JJ, London and 10 Kingly Street, Soho, W1B 5PJ, London.
Tube: Goodge Street / Tottenham Court Road.

THE DEAL: Fresh, healthy and damn tasty dishes served in easy take-out form. Most of it is veggie based and totally wheat, dairy and refined sugar-free. You can also choose to eat in and soak up the goodness of the delis in all their glory. We recommend the Kingly Court branch for grab-and-goes, whilst the Mortimer Street one is a little roomier and perfect for eating-in dates.

THE FOOD: Whether you come for breakfast, at lunchtime or to grab a take-away dinner, Detox Kitchen is your new healthy happy place. Breakfast smoothies, fresh juices and potent coffee make the morning commute something to look forward to. Pick between protein-packed egg wraps, silky smoothie bowls, home-made banana bread and avocado on toast, or build your own home-made granola, muesli and bircher pots. Lunch and take-away dinner options are made fresh and updated on the daily. If you thought the name ‘Detox Kitchen’ sounds like a diet then lets be clear - here the portions are big and the taste is even bigger. Plates can be loaded up with a choice of vibrant salads like butternut squash with avocado & corn, sticky noodles with crispy aubergine, lentils with courgette pesto and roasted carrots with chickpeas, which go on display at lunchtime. Opt to add extra salmon or chicken for a punch of protein. If you want something hot there is also a soup and a hot stew of some kind on offer as well. For those who can’t stay to chat and eat then the grab-and-go range and selection of sweet treats means you don’t miss out. And if even getting yourself to one of the delis for a take-away is a stretch then Detox Kitchen can come to you. For certain London postcodes the team will put together a special food package for a start date and duration of your choice and deliver it to your door - so you never get stressed about wholesome eating again. One last thing to mention, (if you haven’t fallen in love with Detox Kitchen already), on occasion the Mortimer Street deli turns its downstairs into a pop-up Pilates or Yoga studio hosting Saturday morning classes before brunch.

THE PRICE: Drinks start off at £2.20 for espresso, £2.60 for a flat white. Fresh juices are £3.95-5.25 and smoothies £4.95-5.95.
