Social Media & Marketing Assistant

About the role
Overview
Reporting into the Brand Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the marketing team to drive current and new customer engagement. We want people to love and remember our brand, this is at the heart of everything we do.

Social Media
  • You will be responsible for the day to day management of our social media communities on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Google+ and others.
  • You will generate compelling and engaging social media content and manage a fast-paced and reactive schedule of regular updates.
  • Develop a strong social media calendar to grow a highly engaged social audience increasing brand advocacy and customer engagement, in-line with the overall marketing strategy.
  • Own content creation from end-to-end working with a freelance photographer on larger shoots, as well as capturing imagery on your phone, to create assets in line with brand guidelines to inspire followers.
  • Weekly analysis and reporting on all social activity & campaigns, tracking engagement and conversion.
  • Research and understand our target customer across all three arms of our business and use this to shape social conversation.

Content creation
  • Responsible for social media content creation across all platforms.
  • Work with the Marketing team to create a content and editorial calendar.
  • Asist with the weekly newsletter as well as supporting blog posts.
  • Assist with creating content for internal material, such as staff newsletter and handbook.
  • Assist with external comms including food labelling and promotional material.

Event Management
  • Assist with the execution of all events.
  • Ensure every event is supported through all social media.
  • Assist with promotional events such as sampling events and pop-ups.

Press
  • Assist with PR queries and circulate the appropriate material to journalists and our PR agency.
  • Support with and manage influencer led campaigns.

Analytics
  • Work with the Brand Manager to create weekly and monthly marketing reports.
  • Support with customer profiling.
  • Weekly analysis and reporting on all social and ATL campaigns, tracking engagement and conversion.

General support
  • Working for a small, rapidly growing start-up, you will need to roll your sleeves up and get involved in many aspects of the business!

  • Experience in content creation and previous personal and/or professional success in high engagement social media growth.

Cafe Manager

We’re looking for a customer-centric, detail-oriented and innovative leader to lead the team and grow the business at our Mortimer Street Deli.

About the role
You’ll be running the day-to-day at the deli but also working with senior managers to own ambitious growth of sales at the deli to hit weekly targets. We’re looking for a bright, vibrant, people-person who is also organised, forward-thinking and passionate. We’re looking for someone who will take pride in owning the success of our Mortimer Street deli in all aspects.

Responsibilities

  • Running the day-to-day operations and service of the deli, alongside the team.
  • Managing daily/weekly stock management - logging existing stock, calculating and ordering new stock and waste management - via online systems/software to ensure the right quantities are ordered and minimal wastage is generated; our food is made fresh in our off-site kitchens every day.
  • Managing compliance of health and safety regulations by all staff.
  • Ensuring daily procedures to run the deli are followed diligently by all staff.
  • Continuously updating our procedures for operational and quality improvements.
  • Hiring, training and developing team members - the quality of product and hospitality service delivered through the team will be yours to own.
  • Working with senior managers to continuously implement innovative ideas to increase deli sales - your success will partly be measured by increasing sales and hitting targets.
  • Working with senior managers to make changes that improve the customer experience at the deli.
  • Managing all maintenance to keep the deli in good working order.
  • Managing the overall condition of the deli.
  • Tasting our food and drink regularly to ensure quality and consistency is maintained, and feeding back any issues to the kitchen for improvement; you should know what the gold standard looks and tastes like and ensure your team know the same.
  • Building customer relationships, and managing difficult situations that arise.Requirements

Requirements

  • At least 1 years managerial experience in a high volume cafe or restaurant with most of the above responsibilities.
  • Experience in managing a team.
  • Experience in managing fresh and long life stock.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Strong barista skills.
  • Comfortable using online systems e.g. for stock management, ordering, procedure documentation, etc.
  • Minimum level 1 food safety certification.

We’re looking for a customer-centric, quality-orientated, positive and energetic team member to join our team at our delis on Mortimer Street and Kingly Street.

About the role
You’ll be running the day-to-day at the deli with other team members, reporting into the deli manager. We’re looking for a bright, vibrant, customer-loving person who is able to learn fast, pay attention to detail and work quickly. You’ll be someone who can get on with your daily tasks with minimal supervision and want to be always busy.

We’re looking for someone who will take pride in their customer service and genuinely promote our products (deliciousness) and brand values (healthy, freshly made, sugar-free) with enthusiasm.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out the day-to-day operations, including the following but not limited to preparing food and drink, cleaning equipment, serving customers with a smile and keeping the deli clean and tidy throughout and at the end of the day.
  • Supporting managers with stock control (counting stock).
  • Working to reduce wastage of fresh food and drink.
  • Complying with health and safety regulations.
  • Supporting managers with training other team members.
  • Ensuring the quality of food and drink served is always to the highest quality and consistency; you should know what the gold standard looks and tastes like.
  • Building customer relationships.

Requirements

  • Cafe or restaurant experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Willingness to work hard and do your best at all times.
  • Interest in healthy food and the Detox Kitchen brand.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
