We are continually trying new recipes at The Detox Kitchen. Whether it's for the puddings in our delivery packages or for our cake section at Harvey Nichols, we know that sweet, delicious treats that are not full of sugar and fat is a highly in-demand product. So when we created this recipe it's fair to say that we were pretty happy with ourseleves.
The great thing about these coconut balls is that they are suprisingly easy to make.
To make:
Preheat your oven to 180 degrees. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper. Whisk the egg whites to stiff peaks. Melt the cacao butter and combine with the rest of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Then mix in the egg whites. Create small balls with your hands, and pack them fairly tightly, pop them on the baking tray and cook in the oven for 20 minutes. Serve with a big mug of raw cacao hot chocolate.
