Female Faces of the Brand: Alice Cameron

Allow us to introduce Alice, one of our wonderful Brand Representatives. This International Women's Day, we are celebrating all the wonderful women we work with; we are taking this opportunity to introduce you to some of the fabulous female faces behind the brand. This week, we are also launching a special IWD recipe booklet, featuring a collection of delicious recipes from top female chefs and will be donating to Women for Women International. I’m Alice Rose and I’m a Pilates Instructor and Personal Trainer. I work at Heartcore, BXR and have a selection of online and in-person clients. I aspire to make a powerful and positive impact in people’s day to day life and their future. I do so by helping people activate their mind and body to find joy in movement. DK makes me feel strong, healthy and happy from the inside, enabling me to emit the same energy to everyone I work with on a daily basis. When we feel strong, we are strong!

What inspires you?

I spent a lot of time in hospital when I was little because of Crohn’s disease, so to feel strong, healthy and happy is my driving force in life. This includes to the food I eat, the mindset I have, and the way I look after my body. I use this as a foundation for everything I do.

What does your day usually look like?

I wake up at 6am, then have my mushroom coffee, probiotics and DK hot shot. I normally have a few 1:1 clients before my group classes til around 11am. So I bring my breakfast and protein shake with me! Then I’ll have an hour to do reformer Pilates or a gym workout of my own. At 1ish I’ll go home to do any admin or social media tasks and have my DK snack. I have a big lunch after that and head off to my next batch of classes, followed by a couple more clients in the evening. I am normally home around 8:30pm. I’ll likely then collapse on the sofa with my cats and watch TV whilst I have DK dinner, dessert and a hot chocolate to decompress. Then off to bed to shower, read and meditate around 10!

What is your daily non-negotiable?

I will always without fail make my bed.

3 wellness tips/habits you swear by...

  1. Pilates
  2. Mushroom coffee (and this comes from someone who used to have 3-4 ’normal’ coffees a day)
  3. Meditating before bed - I often fall asleep because It makes me so relaxed!

What is your favourite cuisine?

I love food generally so this is hard… Greek or Pan-asian.

Your favourite DK meal?

Any Tempeh dish - obsessed!

Dish or recipe you make most often?

Honey glazed salmon with soy marinated tender stem broccoli and sesame spinach

Death row dinner?

Aubergine parmigiana. Seared tuna steak with sesame seeds and courgettes. Chocolate and peanut butter fondant… massive sweet tooth.

What is your favourite form of movement?

PILATES!
