This week, we are also launching a special IWD recipe guide, featuring a collection of delicious recipes from top female chefs and will also donating to Women for Women. My name is Georgie and I work as Detox Kitchen’s Partnership Executive! I am originally from Bristol, but moved to London two years ago. I am very honoured to be working for such an amazing brand and feel privileged every day that I get to work alongside such inspirational women.

What inspires you?

I am hugely inspired by success, and hearing about other like minded women’s successes. As someone who has struggled through my educational years school and uni, I find it so inspiring knowing others have been in the same shoes but have still been incredibly successful!

What does your day usually look like?

My usual working day differs depending what I have booked in, but I love to maintain a routine around this. I would always start my day with a coffee, and a walk if I have time. Getting outside first thing helps set me up for the day. Whether working from home or in the office, or out and about at meetings, I ensure I have my to-do list ready. I am a huge advocate for a good work life balance, and set structure to my working day so I make sure that my productivity is optimal during my working hours. To finish my day, I like to relax by catching up on a series I have been watching or putting on a film, and enjoying a nutritious dinner!

What is your daily non-negotiable?

Morning coffee, and fresh air during the day!

3 wellness tips/habits you swear by

  1. Maintain a good work/life balance - This will encourage you to not only look after your mental wellbeing but also your physical wellbeing. If you are someone who struggles to shut off from work, try and find a way you can be more productive to allow yourself time to look after YOU!
  2. Nutrition - making sure you plan your meals around your day will help provide your body and brain with the nutrients it needs for optimal success day to day. Your nutrition doesn’t need to be complicated, just ensuring you have a balanced diet within every meal will be beneficial. Education is always key to good nutrition!
  3. Making the bed every single morning - there have been so many studies done on the psychological reasons why making your bed every morning is beneficial, but personally I feel it starts my day on a positive note with a clear headspace.
